July 12: Stay hydrated on extremely warm Sunday

A heat advisory is in effect for Miami-Dade and Broward counties from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. The feels like temperatures will range between 105-110 degrees for more than two hours so stay hydrated and limit your outdoor activities to very early or very late in the day.

There’s very little chance of cooling thunderstorms in the forecast through midweek with Saharan dust clogging our skies and lowering our rain chance to only 10%. A slight easterly breeze will keep it a little more bearable at the beaches, otherwise try to stay in the shade or the air conditioning as much as possible with no heat relief in sight through the upcoming week. All remains quiet in the tropics with no development expected through at least the next seven days.
