Broward judge clears police officer in 2019 UPS shootout, citing ‘stand your ground’ law
A police officer has been cleared of wrongdoing in connection with a 2019 shootout in Miramar that left a UPS employee and another victim dead.
Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief asked her colleagues on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale for a moment of silence in honor of the two police officers who died this weekend of COVID-19, the contagious respiratory illness caused by the new coronavirus.
