Sanela Sabovic joined Local 10 News in September 2012 as an assignment editor and associate producer. In August 2015, she became a full-time reporter and fill-in traffic reporter.
Before moving to South Florida, Sanela began her career as a production assistant, assignment editor and field producer at WMAQ NBC 5 in Chicago, from where she grew up. Sanela also spent time interning at the CBS and ABC affiliates in Chicago, where she worked in special projects and in the news planning departments.
Sanela holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a concentration in radio, television and film from DePaul University.
What she loves most about her job is meeting people from across South Florida and presenting their stories. When she is not reporting, Sanela enjoys spending time with her two kids and family, traveling, working out, reading and relaxing on the beach.
