South Florida is home to Linnie. She was born in Miami, grew up in West Palm Beach, and graduated from the University of Miami with honors.
Prior to her return, she made a stop at WFLA (NBC) in Tampa where she guided viewers through the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and Milton.
Linnie also reported for WPTV (NBC) in West Palm Beach and will never forget covering that fateful morning when the Champlain Towers South collapsed in Surfside.
Her work has received recognition from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists as ‘2024 Reporter of the Year’ finalist and ‘2022 Multimedia Reporter of the Year’.
A few lesser-known facts about Linnie: She’s a passionate ballet dancer, but really lights up when volunteering and mentoring children. She was also crowned Miss Palm Beach County USA and Miss Treasure Coast USA.
Having the opportunity to report in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market for WPLG was a longtime career goal and now a dream come true for Linnie.
