Chris Gothner joined the Local 10 News team in 2022 as a Digital Journalist.
Chris is a second-generation native Floridian who was born and raised in Sarasota County and has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
Prior to moving back to the Sunshine State and behind the camera at Local 10, Chris spent nearly four years as an on-air reporter and anchor at KCCI, the CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa. He specialized in covering breaking news and politics, serving as a state legislative reporter and interviewing presidential candidates campaigning ahead of the Iowa Caucuses.
Prior to his time in Iowa, he worked as a reporter and anchor at CBS affiliate WISC-TV in Madison, Wisconsin and at NBC affiliate KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, where he also served as a digital and newscast producer.
Chris lives in Miami and is excited to see what our state’s East Coast has to offer.
