Ben Kennedy is a three-time Emmy Award-winning Washington Bureau Chief for Local 10 News. He's traveled cross-country covering the president and scored exclusive interviews, including with Vice President Kamala Harris. Kennedy joined Local 10 News in 2009. While reporting in South Florida, he was the first journalist to interview Diana Nyad moments after her historic swim from Cuba to Key West. He reported live on the Deep Water Horizon oil spill and from Kingston, Jamaica as Hurricane Matthew hit the island. Prior to Local 10, Kennedy was a White House Correspondent and reported in New York, Vermont and Missouri. He was also an intern with the investigative department at CBS 2 Chicago. Kennedy earned his B.S. in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
