HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — One person is dead following a crash involving a train in Hollywood Monday morning, authorities said.
The incident happened along South Dixie Highway near Rodman Street and involved what appeared to be a cargo train.
The incident temporarily blocked all railroad crossings into Hallandale Beach at one point.
Crime scene investigators were seen searching the area and taking photographs as authorities worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
The scene has since been cleared and the railroad crossings have reopened.
Authorities have not released the identity of the person who died or provided additional details about what led up to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
