Lauderhill police investigate deadly suspected hit-and-run

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed Friday morning in a crash on West Sunrise Boulevard in Lauderhill. Authorities say it may have been a hit-and-run.

According to the Lauderhill Police Department, the crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. near Northwest 38th Avenue.

Police said a man was found dead at the scene. He hadn’t yet been publicly identified as of around 10:15 a.m.

“Preliminary findings suggest that the motorcycle may have been struck by another vehicle that left the scene,” Sgt. Parys Thomas, an LPD spokesperson, said.

Crime scene investigators were combing through the scene Friday morning.
