PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Week one is in the books for Florida State Lawmakers in Tallahassee. Senate President Ben Albritton is one of the state’s most powerful lawmakers who will dictate which bills move forward.
Albritton, 56, a Republican, was born in Lakeland. He represents District 27, which includes Charlotte, DeSoto, and Hardee counties and parts of Lee and Polk counties. His term as Florida Senate president ends in 2026.
