SUNRISE, Fla. — Sam Reinhart scored his 11th goal of the 2025-26 season in the opening period, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 31 shots, and the Florida Panthers (11-8-1) blanked the New Jersey Devils (13-6-1) Thursday at Amerant Bank Arena, 1-0.

Reinhart’s goal came at the 12:58 mark on a gorgeous wrist shot that beat Devils goaltender Jake Allen, who stopped 23 of 24 shots.

Prior to the game, the Panthers honored defenseman Jeff Petry for his 1,000th career game – a milestone he reached in Florida’s 8–5 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Petry was joined on the ice by his four children, each wearing the jersey of one of his former teams: Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings.

The Devils pulled Allen late in the third period, giving New Jersey an extra skater to work with.

Bobrovsky stood tall, though, stopping several shots in the final minute.

Panthers forward Jack Devine, called up this week from the AHL, made his NHL debut.

He had two shots and two hits in 11 shifts.

The Panthers continue their homestand Saturday at 7 p.m. ET against the Oilers, whom Florida defeated in back-to-back seasons to win its two Stanley Cup championships.
