MIAMI — Local 10 and the Miami Heat announced Monday that they have agreed to a multifaceted partnership, resulting in WPLG being the local home of select Heat games and additional team programming.
Local 10 will broadcast 12 2025-26 regular season Heat games, as well as up to 12 regular season games of the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat’s NBA G League team.
In addition, the Miami Heat and Local 10 will team up for community service projects and special programming opportunities both during the season and offseason.

“We are thrilled to strengthen our relationship with the Miami Heat organization. In doing so, it represents a partnership that will allow South Floridians to enjoy their favorite hometown team completely for free on WPLG Local 10,” said WPLG President & CEO Bert Medina.
“We’re really fortunate in that we’re able to partner with Local 10 to air these 12 games, primarily on the weekends where we’re going to have, the arena’s going to be full, the crowd’s going to be lively, and we’re going to be able to reach a wider audience because the games are now available on free over the air television,” Michael McCullough, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the Miami Heat told Local 10’s Will Manso on Monday. “That was a really strong appeal for us.”
“This relationship with WPLG Local 10 will enable more Heat fans to watch our games and enjoy additional Heat programming, all for free,” McCullough added. “The strong combination of WPLG Local 10 and FanDuel Sports Network means more options for Miami Heat fans to follow their team.”
