Miami Dolphins outside linebackers coach bonds out of jail after domestic battery arrest

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Miami Dolphins outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow bonded out of jail Saturday evening as he faces a charge of domestic battery.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene as Crow walked out of the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale.

“Do you have anything you want to say regarding the allegations?” asked Local 10’s Samiar Nefzi. “Did you assault her?”

Just hours earlier, prosecutors and defense attorneys worked out a bond agreement in court following the alleged incident.

The deal included a standard $1,000 bond, pretrial release, and special conditions.

“The standard thousand dollar bond, placing the defendant on pre-trial release, with the special condition that he undergo a substance abuse evaluation … we would also include the conditions of no alcohol … and no victim contact,” the judge said.

According to an arrest report, the case stems from an argument between Crow and a woman at a Fort Lauderdale apartment complex around midnight Friday.

Witnesses told detectives the argument, which started over “past relationships, escalated into a physical confrontation,“ according to his arrest report.

They reported seeing Crow shove the victim in anger, then wrap his arms around her, investigators said.

“The victim’s legs were off the ground and Crow was whispering things into her ear.” the report stated.

Authorities said the woman was not seriously hurt and refused medical attention.

Crow, 37, joined the Dolphins as an outside linebackers coach in 2024.

The team issued a statement to Local 10 News on Friday following Crow’s arrest:

“We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and currently gathering more information. Ryan has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately. We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time,” it read.

As Crow left the jail, Nefzi asked him, “Is there anything you’d want to say to fans of the Miami Dolphins?”

However, Crow did not answer, jogging away instead.

Under the bond conditions, Crow is barred from returning to the apartment where the alleged incident happened and is prohibited from consuming alcohol.
