WEST PERRINE, FLa. — A man was shot in West Perrine on Sunday evening, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Authorities say units responded around 6:28 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert went off in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital South Trauma Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released additional details about what led to the shooting or whether anyone is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
