MIAMI — Police in Miami are investigating an attempted abduction of a middle school student.
It happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday between Northwest Second and Third Avenue and 33rd and 34th Street, police said, in the city’s Wynwood neighborhood.
According to police, a subject grabbed at the underage female and pulled her into an alley.
The girl was able to get away, police said, and reported the incident.
Authorities said the girl is a student at Jose de Diego Middle School, which is adjacent to Jose de Diego Park, but said the incident did not occur at either location.
Police issued a Be On The Lookout for the suspect, who is described as a Black male who is bald, between 5-foot-11 and 6-feet tall, and was wearing a backpack with a Haitian flag on it.
