Heller, 30, was found dead by a dumpster on the morning of Feb. 18 ― murdered.

Authorities have since arrested Altavious Powell, who, according to his arrest warrant, told his child’s mother that he killed two women.

Initially, Ft. Lauderdale police said there was not another victim, but they now tell Local 10 there was in fact another victim: She was shot, but survived, police say.

According to authorities, the victim of that shooting refused to cooperate or provide information, which led to a significant delay in the investigation.

Additional charges have since been added for Powell, 34, of Miami Gardens, who is being held behind bars without bond.

He is facing charges of armed kidnapping, armed sexual battery, attempted first-degree murder and attempted felony murder.
