MIAMI — A motorcyclist has died after he crashed into a barrier wall Monday morning on the Interstate 395 exit ramp to Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, authorities confirmed.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 5:30 a.m. on the westbound exit ramp.
Troopers said the victim, identified only as an adult male, crashed into the barrier wall and was ejected from his motorcycle, coming to rest in a construction zone.
The man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.
All lanes reopened at about 10:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The motorcyclist’s identity has not yet been released.
