New video shows crash in northwest Miami-Dade that left 1 one dead, 5 injured

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — One person has died and five people were transported to a hospital after a multiple-vehicle crash Friday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the crash involving three vehicles was reported just after 9 a.m. in the area of Northwest 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue.

Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News shows the moment of impact between a black car and a silver SUV.

Deputies said the two vehicles crashed before a transport van was struck from behind.

Deputies confirmed a man who standing or walking near a bus stop in the area was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Authorities identified the victim as 72-year-old Juan De Dios Aguilera Roses.

MDFR officials said five people -- three men and two women -- were taken to a local hospital.

Three others were assessed at the scene, but declined to be transported, MDFR officials confirmed.
