MIAMI — Authorities have released new video of a shooting that happened last month in Miami’s Design District.
It happened on Jan. 3 at a store located on Northeast 41st Street.
According to investigators, an argument involving Atlanta-based rapper Lil Deko escalated quickly.
A security guard appears to take notice before tensions boil over, as video shows two groups walking into the store.
The footage captures them arguing before the situation quickly turns physical, with several people seen fighting in the middle of the store as customers back away.
Authorities said during the confrontation, one man ripped a gold chain worth $22,000 from Lil Deko’s neck and ran toward the exit.
As Lil Deko chased after him, another suspect is seen pulling out a gun and firing, striking the rapper in the stomach.
Customers scrambled for cover as employees rushed to help the wounded rapper.
The suspects then fled the scene in a white Mercedes.
Detectives later tracked them down to an Airbnb, where they say the stolen chain was recovered.
Jail records show Jamar Mckay, Omarion Phillips, and Kevieon Smith were arrested and are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery with a firearm.
However, police say the suspected shooter remains at large.
Lil Deko was transported to a local hospital and is recovering as police continue to search for that gunman.
