MIAMI — A 30-year-old man is in extremely critical condition after being struck by a Brightline train in Miami, according to Miami Police.

Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene and began treating the man before transporting him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Officials said the man’s condition appeared dire as crews worked to stabilize him for transport.

Authorities also noted that the railroad crossing lights and arms were functioning properly at the time of the crash involving the Brightline train.

No other details were immediately released.
