MIAMI — A fire erupted Wednesday morning at an abandoned building in the city of Miami.
Miami Fire Rescue officials confirmed the fire occurred at a building along Southwest Eighth Avenue and Flagler Street.
Local 10’s Jolena Esperto was at the scene at about 6 a.m. as firefighters were still spraying water into a window.
The cause of the fire remains unclear and it’s unclear how much damage the building sustained from the blaze.
City of Miami Fire-Rescue units responded to a two story building with heavy smoke and flames showing. Aggressive attack, confirmed the structure was clear of occupants, then transitioned to a defensive strategy due to unsafe floor conditions.
