MIAMI — South Florida families in need are receiving a holiday assist from an NFL Hall of Famer.

Former Miami Dolphins great Jason Taylor, along with his sister and media personality Joy Taylor, hosted a special holiday event on Tuesday.

The Taylors, in partnership with Health in the Hood and AJ & Lauren Milam, provided holiday meals for 500 residents at Chapman Partnership in Miami.

In addition, a gift distribution was also held for all the children who attended.

There were also interactive games and even a special appearance by Santa Claus.
