MIAMI — A three-car crash in Miami left a 79-year-old man in critical condition early Friday morning, according to Miami Fire Rescue.
Authorities said the man was driving when his vehicle was struck by another car at the intersection of Northwest Seventh Street and Northwest 31st Avenue, near Miami’s Flagami area.
They said was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where his condition was listed as critical.
MFR officials said two other men were also hurt in the crash.
They said a 35-year-old man involved in the crash was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, while a 31-year-old man was also taken to JMH’s Ryder Trauma Center. His condition was not immediately known.
A Local 10 News crew was at the scene, where it appeared that one vehicle crashed into a utility pole and another that appeared to have gone through a green metal fence.
A pickup truck was also at the scene, though its involvement was not immediately clear.
The crash has left lanes blocked in the area, and drivers are advised to take the Julia Tuttle Causeway.
