Authorities said Rocio Carrasco, 34, of Davenport, began assaulting another driver after a minor wreck near Coral Way. The incident happened on Oct. 18 at Southwest 22nd Terrace and 32nd Avenue.

Authorities said the video shows Carrasco whaling on the other driver, who thought Carrasco was coming up to her vehicle to discuss the wreck. In addition to punching her, police said Carrasco bit the woman and pulled on her shirt.

Police said the victim followed Carrasco, who left the scene of the crash, to get her license plate and report it. Investigators said Carrasco at one point turned around and hit the victim’s car again ― on purpose.

Carrasco was arrested about a week later on charges of burglary with assault or battery, attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.

As of Wednesday, she remained locked up at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

She’s scheduled for a court hearing on Jan. 6.
