DORAL, Fla. — Officials have released video of a man leaving a home that was not his, after the woman who does live there accused him of breaking in.
It happened on Friday, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. along the 5500 block of 107th Avenue in Doral.
After further examining her home, the woman found something the alleged intruder left behind.
According to police, her underwear drawer had been ransacked, and two pairs were left on the floor with some kind of fluid on them.
“He claimed he was putting the underwear in his mouth, and we have sent the underwear for testing to see if other bodily fluids are present and relevant,” said Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez.
Another video shows the man, identified as 25-year-old Tomas Bof Miract, running away from the home.
Police are now saying that Bof Miract went into the home to retrieve the underwear of a woman they said he was infatuated with.
According to authorities, he was inside when the victim got home and quickly took off, leaving the disheveled underwear drawer and damp pairs behind.
Police said Bof Miract lives in the same complex as the victim and became obsessed with her.
Authorities also stressed the importance of locking doors, as in this case, police said Bof Miract got into the woman’s home through an unlocked rear door.
They are asking anyone else who has been victimized by Bof Miract to contact them.
