PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County teacher has been arrested on allegations of an improper relationship with a student.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Elias Farley, who was working at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton, had sexual relations with one of his students.

Now Farley is facing charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and offenses against a student by an authority figure.

Authorities said the relationship began over the summer, when the two could communicate through a mutually shared Google document.

The relationship escalated on of a physical nature once the current school year started, according to an arrest form, and it included multiple encounters that occurred both in the school and at his apartment.

Farley appeared in court Friday and is being held in jail without bond.
