PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Police have made a second arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred outside Rickey’s Sports Bar and Grill in Pembroke Pines nearly two months ago, authorities confirmed.
Pembroke Pines police said Richaun Erick McKnight, 21, was taken into custody and is facing a second-degree murder charge. He is scheduled to appear before a judge later Wednesday.
Detectives say McKnight was involved in a shooting on Oct. 19 in the parking lot of the sports bar at 8389 Pines Boulevard that killed one man and injured another.
Investigators said McKnight’s arrest comes nearly a month and a half after 27-year-old Clayton Hicks was arrested just hours after the incident. He also faces one count of second-degree murder.
The shooting occurred around 3:45 a.m., and authorities said two men were rushed to the hospital, one of whom did not survive.
Police have not publicly identified the victim.
Jail records show McKnight is being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail as of Wednesday morning.
