SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. — A 49-year-old woman was in jail on Monday morning after police officers accused her of domestic violence with a machete in South Miami, records show.
Police officers met with a man at the South Miami Hospital Emergency Department after he suffered a “deep laceration” to his right elbow,
The man said he and Liz Frechel, his girlfriend, got into an argument during a dinner date on Nov. 20 at the Texas Roadhouse in Fontainebleau, according to a police officer’s arrest report.
The man said he left Frechel at the restaurant after an argument with her over a photo of her hugging and holding hands with another man, according to a police officer’s arrest report.
The man said their dispute turned violent when he later drove to her home on Nov. 21 near Southwest 72 Street and 62 Avenue to drop off her medication, her glasses, and a mug, according to the police report.
“You are not going anywhere ... You are going to pay ... I am going to kill you,” Frechel shouted, the victim said, according to the police report.
Frechel’s neighbor reported hearing loud noises that included a woman yelling, items thrown around, and a man crying, according to the police arrest report.
Police officers arrested Frechel shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 21 at her home, and corrections booked her at about 11:25 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, records show.
Frechel appeared in bond court on Nov. 22. She faced charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment with a deadly weapon.
Court records show a Miami-Dade judge ordered Frechel to stay away from the victim, denied her bond for the attempted murder charge, and set her bond for the other two charges at $15,000.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Zachary James was set to preside over the case.
