DAVIE, Fla. — Two seniors were killed in a double shooting in Davie on Sunday night.
It happened just after 8:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Southwest 70th Terrace.
Police said the two victims, whose ages have not been released, were “discovered within the home.”
One of them was pronounced dead at the scene, while another died at a local hospital.
“There was a single shot heard by a neighbor. The hospice nurse ran out,” a neighbor told Local 10 News. “This is an older couple.”
“The names of the victims are not being released,” Officer Julia Ross, a spokesperson for the Davie Police Department, said in an email Monday morning. “There is no threat to the community and we are not looking for any other persons of interest.”
Authorities haven’t provided information about the nature of the shooting.
