Miami-Dade deputies: Man dies after hit-and-run crash in West Little River

Fatal hit-and-run in Miami-Dade occurred hours after crash in same area

WEST LITTLE RIVER, Fla. — A man died on Saturday after a hit-and-run crash in Miami-Dade County’s West Little River neighborhood.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a black sports utility vehicle traveling southbound on Northwest 27 Avenue struck the man and did not stop.

The collision was shortly after 5 a.m. while the man attempted to cross 27 Avenue near Northwest 104 Terrace, according to M-DSO deputies.

Fatal hit-and-run remains under investigation by deputies in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he died.

Deputies released a Be On The Look Out, or BOLO, alert for a four-door 2023 black Jeep with a possible license plate of 26-FEBB, according to police scanner traffic.

M-DSO traffic homicide unit detectives about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.

Additionally, deputies confirmed to Local 10 News a separate crash occurred about 90 minutes before and around 100 yards away from where the pedestrian was struck.
