BOCA RATON, Fla. — Erika Donalds, America First Policy Institute Chair of Education Opportunity brought the Leadership Institute’s “Free to Speak Campus Tour” to Boca Raton, promoting school choice and a plan to dismantle the federal agency — a key part of President Donald Trump’s education agenda.
Donalds, a former Florida school board member and CEO of a charter school management company, urged parents to embrace what she called the “education freedom generation.”
“That is going to increase access and innovation across the board — just like it does in every other industry in America,” she said.
As head of a conservative education group and wife of Congressman Byron Donalds — a Trump-endorsed gubernatorial candidate — she could soon have major influence over Florida’s education policy, continuing the state’s push for less government control and more parental choice.
