Miami man accused of possessing videos showing sexual abuse of children, horses

MIAMI — A Miami man is facing seven felony charges after authorities said an investigation into child sexual abuse videos led them to find that he also had animal sexual abuse videos on his cellphone.

A Miami Police Department arrest report states that the investigation into Kevin del Sol, 26, of Allapattah, began in June after a Google tip about the upload of four illicit videos.

Those videos, according to police, showed girls as young as “5 to 7 year(s) old” being sexually abused by men.

Police said they went to del Sol’s apartment in the 1800 block of Northwest 24th Avenue to serve a search warrant on Tuesday and conducted a “digital forensic preview” on his iPhone, which revealed three videos of women performing sex acts on horses.

The MPD report states that del Sol told investigators that “he was going through a rough patch at work and in his relationship with his girlfriend, so he decided to go to a website to download pedophilia and bestiality images and videos to help him feel numb.”

“(Del Sol) said that later things got better with his girlfriend and he got a new job, so he decided to steer away from the child sexual abuse material and bestiality pornography and deleted all the files saved on his desktop computer,” it states.

As of Wednesday morning, del Sol was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond listed in jail records as “to be set.”
