Detectives said Deputy Randall Saintilus was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with a pregnant woman over his alleged infidelity.

Investigators said Saintilus caused the woman to fall down a staircase, injuring her back.

Authorities also learned of previous incidents of domestic violence involving Saintilus, including one where he broke the victim’s phone.

Saintilus, hired by the sheriff’s office in 2018, was booked into the Broward Main Jail and placed on unpaid administrative leave. Sheriff Gregory Tony said the agency has “zero tolerance for domestic violence.”
