MEDLEY, Fla. — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that authorities say began as a road rage incident Friday night.
Deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue near Northwest 64th Street in Medley. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities said.
Authorities said the vehicle the victim was in later showed up at an urgent care center in Doral with blood streaks on the side of the white SUV and some blood on the front door of the facility.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said crews picked up the victim there and took him to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
With assistance from the Doral Police Department, deputies located the suspected shooter and took the individual into custody, according to MDSO.
No additional details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
