PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Police in Pembroke Pines responded to investigating a shooting early Sunday morning.
It happened around 3:45 a.m. in a parking lot outside Rickey’s Sports Bar and Grill, located just west of the intersection of Pines Boulevard and University Drive.
Evidence markers could be seen scattered throughout the parking lot, where a red car observed with apparent bullet holes. That was before a Mercedes was seen pulling into the parking lot with apparent bullet holes on its hood.
One witness who asked not to be identified told Local 10 News she heard what sounded like gunfire and saw someone shooting a gun when leaving the bar around 4 a.m.
Police said two men were found in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and both were rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One of the men has since passed away, authorities said.
Officers are still searching for a suspect and urge anyone with information to call police or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
