The victims’ bodies were found in the parking lot of a Walgreens on Northwest 95th Street and Seventh Avenue at about 2 a.m. after MDSO received a ShotSpotter alert.

Deputies said they arrived at the scene and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One was inside a vehicle and the other was lying on the ground.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel then responded to the area and pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene hours later and saw two body bags on the ground.

What appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol could be seen laying on the ground, just feet away from a body bag that was closest to a black Chevy Tahoe, which had visible bullet holes in it.

The second body bag was spotted a little closer to the entrance of the Walgreens. A second semi-automatic gun was also seen nearby.

“It sounded like they were shooting at each other,” witness Gregory Wilson said.

Wilson told Local 10 News that he had to duck for cover during the shooting.

“I looked to see if it was coming for me. I didn’t see it, I just heard (it),” he said.

Deputies roped off the parking lot near the busy intersection as they investigated the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

Loved ones of the two men killed were seen visiting the crime scene later in the morning, searching for answers.

“We are not looking for any subjects nor have anyone detained or arrested,” an MDSO spokesperson told Local 10 News on Friday. “The preliminary investigation indicates the decedents were solely involved.”
