LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. — A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy shot a dog on Tuesday in Lauderdale Lakes.
The dog had attacked a man when the deputy responded to the area of Northwest 35th Avenue and 39th Street, according to BSO.
4 p.m. report:
After the man suffered several bites, the dog also tried to attack the BSO deputy, who was forced to fire, according to BSO.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded to help the injured man, Broward County Animal Care took the dog, and a BSO Internal Affairs Unit detective was set to investigate the shooting, according to BSO.
