MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was stabbed to death Tuesday morning at a park in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said it occurred around 9:45 a.m. at Arthur Woodard Park, located at 1220 NW 99th St.
A Local 10 News crew was at the scene, where a body was covered with a yellow tarp as deputies investigated the area.
They said a man was arrested and taken into custody in connection with the stabbing. Investigators haven’t confirmed if the suspect and victim knew one another.

Local 10 spoke with neighbors who were in shock over the reported stabbing.
“I think my family is not going to want to go walking in the park anymore,” said a neighbor, who asked not to be identified. “This is one of my joys. To walk every morning and to clear my head.”
Cellphone video from a neighbor shows investigators tipping over and searching inside a trash bin about two blocks away.
Some people who live in the area believe the two scenes are connected.
No other details about the victim or suspect were immediately released.
