Police investigate reported shooting in Hollywood Authorities are investigating reports of a shooting in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Police are investigating an early morning shooting Saturday that they said left one person wounded in Hollywood.

Officers with the Hollywood Police Department said they responded around 5 a.m. to the 2200 block of Madison Street after receiving a 911 call.

Upon arrival, police said they found a victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

They said the victim was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he or she was listed in stable condition.

Preliminary information suggests the suspect and the victim may have known each other, and investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

No additional details about the shooting or individuals involved were immediately released.
