Parade of Hope rolls through Hollywood to uplift young cancer warriors

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, the Anthony Russo Family Foundation and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital hosted a vibrant parade to lift the spirits of young cancer patients.

More than 20 decorated vehicles, along with Sparky the Fire Dog and the Hollywood Fire Department, rolled past the hospital as children waved from windows above.

“It gives hope and faith,” said Isabella Depestre, 15, who’s now in remission after her own cancer battle.

She and her mother, both cancer survivors, joined other volunteers to spread joy. “Keep pushing. Keep being you,” she said, sharing encouragement with kids still fighting.
