MIAMI — Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas cruise ship returned to PortMiami on Monday after a fight injured guests.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to the related medical call at the 1000 block of North America Way.
“Our team provided medical care to adult guests who were involved in an altercation onboard, and the guests are being treated for their injuries,” a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean wrote in a statement.
A witness who was on the cruise ship saw people running over to the pool area and the children’s pool roped off before the captain attributed the return to the port to an injured guest who needed to be hospitalized.
“We notified local authorities and are working closely with them. As this is an ongoing investigation, we have no more information to share at this time,” the spokesperson for Royal Caribbean wrote in the statement.
