Reward offered after 2 Deerfield Beach city properties vandalized with graffiti

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Detectives are investigating two vandalism incidents in Deerfield Beach after they said graffiti was found on city property earlier this month, and a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies in the Deerfield Beach district said graffiti was first discovered Aug. 8 on the Community Redevelopment Agency’s portable office building at 1601 E. Hillsboro Blvd.

They said a second incident was reported Aug. 26, when parks and recreation employees found similar graffiti on the Sullivan Park Drawbridge at 1741 Riverview Road.

Detectives believe the two cases are connected.

Anyone who recognizes the graffiti or has information is asked to contact BSO’s Deerfield Beach district office at 954-480-4300 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app.

Anonymous tips can also be made to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477, online at browardcrimestoppers.org, or by dialing **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone.

Authorities said anonymous tipsters whose information leads to an arrest or arrests may receive a reward of up to $5,000.
