In the video, Miami Beach police officer Kevin Lorenzo can be observed running to the scene to try and render aid.

“I’m putting the tourniquet on you, stay with me bro,” Lorenzo is heard saying to a victim.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a white Ford sedan collided with an electric bicycle on I-395 near Alton Road.

The bicycle was occupying a travel lane at the time of the crash, and the driver of the Ford remained at the scene, authorities said.

There were two people on the bicycle, and both were transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

One would be pronounced dead while the other survived.

The video shows how value every second can be as first responders rush to save the victims.

While the case remains under investigation, police say crashes involving e-bikes are on the rise.
