Father returns missing 6-year-old to mother, Miami Gardens police say

Police seek missing girl last seen in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Gardens police were looking for a missing 6-year-old girl. She was later returned safely.

Jenesis Acosta was last seen around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said she was last seen in the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 173rd Terrace. At the time, she was in the care of her father, Janicy Acosta.

Police said he returned Jenesis to her mother at around 4:30 a.m.; she “was located safe and unharmed.”
