Cellphone video shows dozens of police cruisers surrounding the red SUV, its back tire blown out and a window shattered.

Witnesses say the man refused to come out for quite some time, even as officers repeatedly ordered him to surrender.

Some neighbors said the car could only move about five miles per hour because of the damaged tire. Others reported hearing music blaring from a police helicopter — including the song “Bad Boys” — as officers closed in.

Anthony Rarsarias, who was watching TV with his dog at the time, said the quiet neighborhood suddenly turned chaotic.

“It’s so quiet out here, like an episode of Golden Girls, to Bad Boys 5 straight up out of nowhere,” he said.

At one point, witnesses said the man appeared to be eating watermelon inside the vehicle while refusing to step out.

Eventually, officers surrounded the SUV and the man was taken into custody. Police searched the car afterward.

Authorities have not confirmed what led up to the incident, but neighbors said it may have started as a police chase.

No other details were immediately released.
