According to an arrest report from the Margate Police Department, the investigation into Anthony William Serralles, 23, stemmed from tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

NCMEC alerted authorities that Dropbox had flagged Serralles for uploading a total of 36 illicit images in March 2024 and this January.

Police said a search warrant revealed the aforementioned files, as well as files depicting “bestiality” and “numerous videos of (himself) engaging in sexual acts.”

According to the report, MPD and the Broward Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at his home in the 7500 block of Parkside Lane on Tuesday and arrested him at the Coral Palm Plaza shopping center off University Drive and Royal Palm Boulevard in Coral Springs.

The report states that Serralles made a confession and officers arrested him on two charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material.

“Several electronic devices were collected belonging to (Serralles) and a full file extraction will be completed,” an MPD detective wrote in the report.

As of Wednesday, Serralles was being held in the BSO Main Jail on a $17,500 bond.
