MIRAMAR, Fla. — Authorities in Broward County are investigating an overnight shooting.

It happened along the 3000 block of Miramar Parkway at approximately 1:50 a.m. Sunday.

According to Miramar police, officers responded to reports of a man who had been shot and located the victim inside of a home.

Upon investigation, officers determined the victim, a 33-year-old man, was confronted by another man who wanted his Rolex watch, valued at $30,000.

The suspect shot the victim and took off with the watch, police said.

A perimeter was established by officers but the suspect was not located and is believed to have fled the area.

Police said the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
