Cops ask for public's help in finding suspects in Fort Lauderdale triple shooting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police say they have exhausted all efforts in finding and identifying three people they believe to be involved in a triple shooting.

It happened on June 22 at approximately 1:30 a.m. on top of a parking garage at 200 Las Olas Circle.

Detectives are now turning to the public for help.

Video shows two of the three suspects wearing masks while another person peers into a parked car.

The video was collected from the parking garage, where young people typically gather in the evening.

Newly released 911 calls from several callers describe multiple gun shots being heard, and the chaos that followed.

Police said a group were on the rooftop garage when the suspects approached and began shooting.

Three people were driven to the hospital.

Two victims, ages 18 and 19, were treated for their injuries and released.

The third victim, 18-year-old Richard Murray, was hospitalized at Broward Health Medical Center with critical injuries and underwent multiple surgeries.

After the shooting, Local 10 News spoke to Murray’s mother. She said he and friends were out celebrating a friend who was about to deploy.

“We need someone to come forth and give us answers. We don’t have any answers,” she said. “They were at their cars and just dancing and celebrating her, because she’s leaving.”

The Uvalde Foundation for Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to ending violence, has put up a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved.

This is in addition to any money put up by Broward Crime Stoppers, which can be reached by calling 954-493-TIPS.
