According to BSO’s Missing Persons Unit, 27-year-old Christian Nogueira was discovered deceased in a body of water near the 5700 block of Northwest 61st Place — the same area where he was last seen around 9:35 p.m. on Friday.

Detectives said they do not suspect foul play, but BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating the circumstances surrounding Nogueira’s death.

Authorities said the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

A missing persons alert had been issued earlier Saturday as deputies searched for Nogueira. His family told investigators that he had a heart condition and required medication.

Anyone with information that could help detectives is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
