HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — A man is in custody following an armed robbery that occurred at a Hallandale Beach home.
Police arrested Schnaider Valcin on several charges, including three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He remained at the Broward County Jail as of Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded Friday to a report of an attempted home invasion near the 100 block of Southwest Seventh Terrace.
Police said the homeowner fired a gun at the suspect, but missed.
No injures were reported.
Authorities also said Valcin is being held on a parole violation, meaning he’s not eligible to bond out.
