BSO searches for teen reported missing from Oakland Park

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. — The Broward Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 17-year-old girl who has been missing for three days now.

According to authorities, Jaliya Annette Wimbush was last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 5700 block of North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park.

Deputies said Wimbush is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and has a scar under her left eye.

According to authorities, she was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, lavender/white pants and lavender Crocs.

Authorities said the person who reported her missing told detectives that Wimbush suffers from a mental health condition.
